In the mid-nineties, Andrew Librizzi wrote, co-produced and directed his first feature film, Holding On. An international award winner at the Houston Worldfest Film Festival, Holding On acquired both domestic and international distribution. In addition to his feature film work, Andrew has written and directed both instruction and commercial projects for such national clients as Visa, Seimens Rolm, Palm Beach Tan and Nortel Communications and has been the recipient of a number of industry awards including five Tellys and two Communicator Awards. In 1995, Librizzi established the Desert Bloom Theatre. While at Desert Bloom, Andrew honed his ability as writer/director with a number of original main stage romantic comedies including, "The First Church of Texaco", "The Boxer's Garden" and "Peanut Butter and Tofu on Jewish Rye". Since then, Librizzi's plays have been performed in professional and community theaters throughout the United States and Canada. Librizzi also directed one of the very first High Definition Television pilots called, Texas Tales and Legends. Starring Barry Corbin (Northern Exposure; One Tree Hill & No Country For Old Men) and is slated to both write and direct it's follow-up series, Legends & Outlaws. In 2009, he wrote and directed Still Born. The short film was written, cast and produced in two weeks for the film competition, The 168 Hour Film Festival. Still Born garnered eleven nominations including, Best Director, Best Film, Cinematography, Best Actor, Best Actress, Screenplay, Art Direction, Score and others. It took home both acting category awards. The film also was selected as one of twelve finalists for Best Film in the Damah Film Festival. In late 2009, Librizzi began working on his second original feature film, Beyond The Farthest Star.
