Rocker and Sunset Strip cultural ambassador Willie Basse is known for his studio parties in North Hollywood where many bands, including Guns N' Roses, LA Guns, Racer-X and Leatherwolf got their start. Willie is also a founding member of Black Sheep, the LA band that has been home to some of rock's greats including Slash (Guns N' Roses, Velvet Revolver), James Kottak (Scorpions), Paul Gilbert (Racer-X/Mr. Big), Randy Castillo (Ozzy Osbourne), Mitch Perry (Cher, Edgar Winter, MSG) and JP Cervoni (Buddy Miles). He is also a recording engineer/producer who recorded several nominated albums for Delta Groove Records and two albums for blues icons Canned Heat as well as their national television commercials for Target. On-screen, Willie has the distinction of playing a studio engineer in the famous episode of "Friends" where Phoebe Buffay (Played by Lisa Kudrow) went into a studio to record her signature song "Smelly Cat." Today, Basse consistently tours with his namesake band, recently finished a tour with Adler's Appetite, featuring Guns N' Roses drummer Steven Adler, and is preparing for his North American "Feed America-Now, Concerts to END Hunger" tour.
