Niall Stewart

Independent film producer Niall Stewart has worked for such companies as Grosvenor Films and, Paramount Pictures' MTV Films, in LA. Previous to this he was a BAFTA award winning producer with the BBC. During this time, he produced the BBC's first ever online dramas called 'The Voices of the Unheard' and was BIMA nominated for the cell phone historical tours of London called 'London Journeys'. Niall Stewart's first 35mm feature 'The Secret' won 'Best Feature' film festival prizes all over the world before receiving a US theatrical release. By now, Niall had also started writing and his log line for his animation 'The Outback Prinz' came second in Europe's most prestigious script competition at the time, the UK Film Council's '25 Words or Less' Scheme. Recently, Niall Stewart also co-wrote and produced the romantic thriller feature 'Carmen's Kiss' which received a UK theatrical release. Before joining the BBC, Niall Stewart worked for such companies as Scottish Television, Granada Television, Channel Four and many other independent production companies in both production and development. He began his career in newspapers, where he worked on the Arts Desk for the broadsheet 'Scotland on Sunday'.
