Scott Gerber

Scott David Gerber (Writer, Director, Producer, Editor) has established himself as a mature filmmaker at a young age. A native New Yorker, Mr. Gerber has made a point to produce films that deal with controversial and powerful social issues. His first film, Alone In The Dark, a story based on Mr. Gerber's childhood friend, raised thousands of dollars for abused children and battered women in the New York City area. His latest film, Finding Heaven, the story of a mother caring for her three-year-old daughter after losing her police officer husband on September 11, 2001, was screened at several film festivals around the country. Scott has served as director on music video productions for stars such as 'Lil Kim and formerly worked with the post-production team of the Blue Man Group. He is now a proud partner and co-founder of Downtown Pictures Inc., a New York film company dedicated to promoting and marketing young filmmakers into mainstream American cinema, and the Executive Producer of no. 2 pencil marketing solutions, a company specializing in teen programming.
