Richard Jackson speaks the language of Dance. A world-class creative director and choreographer who has spent the breadth of his 15 year career working in counts of eight alongside the most influential recording artists in the music industry, Jackson's experience and accomplishments stand unrivaled. Originally from the San Francisco Bay Area, Jackson packed his dancing shoes and made the journey to Hollywood in 1999 and began his career dancing professionally in music videos, live performances, and commercials. Jackson then began doing choreography for artists including Katy Perry, Keri Hilson, Nicki Minaj, Sean "Puffy" Combs, Brandy and Lady Gaga. Jackson's expertise includes diverse dance styles such as jazz- funk, hip-hop, and modern contemporary. Impressively, he has achieved success with raw, innate talent -- having never been formally trained as a dancer. In addition to being one of the most sought-after choreographers in the business, Jackson displays superlative talent in stage direction, camera blocking & direction and narrative/character development. He has put his directional creativity into performances for some of the most recognized shows on television both domestically and abroad, including Saturday Night Live, The Today Show, Good Morning America, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, The Late Show with David Letterman, the Grammy Awards, the MTV Awards, the American Music Awards, the Billboard Awards, the BET Awards, The Jonathan Ross Show, the Brit Awards and the European Music Awards among countless others. The sum of Jackson's unmatched abilities, coupled with his pleasant and professional working style make him a truly one-of-a-kind talent in the marketplace. While Jackson has spent thousands of hours developing and perfecting his craft in the rehearsal room, he is also an established television personality - appearing on-camera during multiple seasons of the wildly popular MTV franchise "Making The Band." In 2011, Jackson was featured as a series regular in two hit shows: "The Dance Scene" (E! Entertainment); and "Born to Dance" (Black Entertainment Television). Most notably, Jackson is an integral member of the creative team for international superstar recording artist Lady Gaga, serving as Visual Director / Choreographer and member of the artist's Haus of Gaga. He has been choreographing for the entirety of her storied career, having created iconic movement in every single piece of her entire catalogue of commercially released music videos, live performances and television appearances. Jackson continues to create inspired artistic interpretations for artists both established and yet- proven, working with artists on major record labels as well as those released independently. His work speaks a language that needs no translation and his spirit is communicated best in his own words: "Put everything on the line for your dreams. The journey makes you vulnerable, but the victory leaves you a champion!"
