Award winning film maker Kaveeta Oberoi Kaul began her career in films at a tender age having worked as a child actor in Hindi movies and an English Television series Maya produced by MGM. Although fascinated with the art of acting, but cognisant of the demands that are faced by actors, especially female, she opted out from the choice of taking up acting as a full fledged profession, choosing instead to focus on academics. She topped Mumbai University with a First Class First Honours, graduating in World History, Political Science, Constitution of England and India, winning a scholarship to pursue further studies at the Oxford. She was selected for the cover of the reputed magazine EVES WEEKLY. Subsequently, she dipped into Advertising and Marketing from St. Xaviers College, Mumbai, Montessori Teachers training, and Yoga teachers training. Trained in Kathak style of Indian dance and light classical vocals, she has performed at special events. Movies, being her passion she involved herself in behind the scenes activities. She went on to Producing films,and television serials and scripted these as well. 1)1994 JAADU- the magic of love credited with Story/dialogues..starring Shahrukh Khan, Raveena Tandon (unreleased) 2)1996 Producer/writer of KAASH the first serial on Sony TV and the first to have songs which are yet cherished by many, Shot outdoors in the hills of Garhwal, a first again for Indian television 3)Producer of telefilm MAUSAM for Zee TV 4)Acted in episodes of Sanjeevani and Shhh Koi H In addition, she has extensively studied Numerology, Feng Shui, Aroma Therapy, Tarot card reading, Reiki. Writing as an outlet of expression, manifested into her blog SACHINITI which became one of the foremost among Indian women bloggers, quoted often by mainstream daily newspapers. An article based on the love story of her parents got selected to be published in the Chicken soup series. After having practiced Vippassana technique of meditation for about 12 years, she found herself being inextricably drawn to Paramhansa Yogananda having read his spiritual classic Autobiography of a Yogi, unknown to her at the time that she would, several years later be the Producer of a movie THE ANSWER which would be the First Feature Film to be centered around him, written by one of his foremost direct disciples, Swami Kriyananda.
