Tara Hungerford

Creator and Director Tara Hungerford is known for Scout & The Gumboot Kids (CBC), A Window Looking In (Knowledge) and the Space Suite series (Knowledge). Over the past 18 years, Tara has built an award winning filmmaking portfolio with over 250 credits in documentary, television series, music videos, short films and music videos. With her husband Eric Hogan, they are Creators, Showrunners and lead Imagine Create Media Inc. They live in Vancouver, BC with their two children. She is a sought after Director known for her creative leadership in aesthetics and storytelling. Her work has earned 6 Leo Awards (directing, writing, program, production design), multiple Golden Sheaf Awards (best program) the Kodak Spotlight Directing Award (female director) and multiple Canadian Screen Award Nominations (best program, best production design). With her partner, Eric Hogan, they created the hit series, Scout & The Gumboot Kids, for CBC Kids (currently in production on season 3). They are also in production on three new series', "Daisy & The Gumboot Kids", "Jessie & The Gumboot Kids" and the TVO Kids & Knowledge series "I Love".
