Pinky Sharma is a Model and Actress born in Jaipur, Rajasthan, India. Pinky's interest in modeling started from a very young age. She used to participate in fashion shows, commercials and various modeling assignments in Jaipur where she was known by her birth name, Pinky. When she turned seventeen, Pinky decided to pursue a Interior Designing degree in Germany. After completing the curriculum, she returned back to Mumbai where she enrolled in Roshan Taneja's Acting course and was approached to do film roles, fashion shows and commercials. Professionally, Pinky was offered her first feature role in a Bollywood film titled, "Censor," directed by Dev Anand in 1999. In the film, Pinky played the lead character of Mohini, and thus decided to adapt "Mohini Sharma" as a stage name for her career. Soon after her first film, she played various characters in films like Rajiv Rai's, "Pyaar Ishq Aur Mohabbat (2001)," Umesh Mehra's, "Yeh Mohabbat Hain (2002)," and Rajkumar Kohli's, "Ek Anokhi Kahaani (2002)." She has also had the pleasure of working with reputed Bollywood stars such as Arjun Rampal, Suniel Shetty, Aftab Shivdasani, Manisha Koirala, Arshad Warsi and Sonu Nigam. Apart from feature films, Pinky has been a part of various advertisements and commercials in which she worked alongside International stars such as George Clooney and David Beckham. Some of the brands that Pinky has been associated with include Pepsi, Target, Budweiser, Citi Bank and Martini. She also had the privilege of being chosen as the Brand Ambassador of "Sensui". Pinky's aspirations only grew with time as she moved to Los Angeles in 2002 to pursue acting assignments in Hollywood. She has completed yearlong courses at the Stella Adler Academy and the "Theatre of Art Course" programs. After completing her study, Pinky went on to be featured in films such as David Zucker's 2008 "An American Carol," David Mackenzie's 2009 "Spread," and Lawrence Trilling's 2010 "Group Sex." Pinky has also been featured in the television shows, "How I Met Your Mother," "My Boys," "Numb3rs," "Greek," "Swingtown," and "True Blood." She has also been behind the camera as an Assistant Director on various projects. 2004 after the demise of her father, Pinky changed her stage name back from "Mohini Sharma" to her birthname to pay honor to his memory. Pinky still retains her interest in designing, as she loves to keep up with modern fashions and trends. She hopes to build her own fashion line one day that not only helps her fulfill her desires, but also helps the world at the same time. Charity is very close to Pinky's heart and she wants to discover new ways of giving back. Pinky has various projects in development and is looking forward to taking on challenging, enriching roles that will showcase her talent and passion for the entertainment industry.
