Käla Mandrake is known for writing and directing The Real Anthony Fauci two-part documentary film adaptation of Robert F. Kennedy Jr.'s book of the same name, as well as co-writing and editing Jen Senko's award winning documentary film, The Brainwashing of My Dad, narrated by Matthew Modine. She is a native New Yorker who majored in Film and Media with a Minor in Music at Hunter College on Manhattan's upper east side. She had small acting parts in independent films, such as the award winning director Amir Naderi film A,B,C... Manhattan (1997) and was an extra in Zoolander (2001) and Joe's Apartment (1996) . She went on to produce and edit for TV Networks HBO (Game of Thrones), Cinemax (Theatricals), BBC (Original Series) and Nickelodeon. She worked as a researcher on feature motion picture Fair Game (2010) by award-winning director Doug Liman while producing/editing various music videos, movie shorts, features and documentaries for independent artists. The "documentary-fairytale" movie about her famed grandfather, Mandrake the Magician, was released in October of 2020.
