Michael M. Taglianetti is a writer, producer, director and entrepreneur who, along with business and creative partners Paul M. Smith and Susan Gorowitz, have successfully built from scratch, a profitable, multi-faceted, creative studio in Los Angeles. Mr. Taglianetti is responsible for most of the creative content under development by Containment Field and when he is not writing new material, drawing concepts or developing custom props, miniatures and environments, he is running the business side of the Containment Field studio operation. This means creating budgets, authorizing spending and selling (because no one gets paid unless someone sells something). Mr. Taglianetti has authored books & screenplays, produced and directed television commercials, been an Animator, a Special Make-up & Mechanical F/X Supervisor and a Pastry Chef. He produced and directed his first broadcast TV commercial at the age of 24 and his first short film at 29. Career Highlights of Michael Taglianetti: Writer/Creator of the Steampunk themed action-adventure, Tinker, based on his short story of the same name. Now in development as a Web series with plans to expand to a comic book series, feature film and both a console and online video game. Author of the children's book, "Max and the Marshmallow Monster," and the illustrated anthology for adult science fiction fans, "Tales of an Illicit Nature," as well as dozens of short stories in the sci-fi/fantasy genre. (2004-2008) Creator and co-founder of Movie Nation Festivals and its namesake Festival of Science Fiction, Fantasy, Horror and the Supernatural, which ran in Las Vegas, NV. (1986-1989) Former stop-motion animator and model-maker at the now defunct Olive Jar Animation Studio in Brookline, MA where he along with friend and future collaborator, Tibor Szakaly, worked on several Cliio, Telly and Broadcast Design Association award-winning, animated television commercials, including most of the popular 10-second station IDs for MTV & VH1 back in the 1980's when MTV still played music videos. Has been the creative/business partner of Paul M. Smith since they formed Harbinger Media in May of 2002. They added Containment Field in October of 2006 and also owned Movie Nation Festivals as well as the Special Make-up & Mechanical F/X Company, Scare Tactics F/X from July, 2003-April, 2007 when Containment Field absorbed its operations.
