Lily Koppel is an American writer and has been involved in acting and modeling. Born in Chicago, Lily Koppel moved to New York to attend Barnard College, where she graduated with a degree in English and creative writing. She has described herself as a "Renaissance girl". With an early interest in the arts, she went to New York to find her true calling. She began writing for the New York Times as well as contributing to the New York Times magazine, Glamour, and went on to be called by Gawker "The Bravest Gossip Reporter Ever" and to write major bestselling books The Red Leather Diary and The Astronaut Wives Club.
