Perky and cheerful regularfoot surfer Coco Ho was born on April 28, 1991 in Honolulu, Hawaii. The daughter of North Shore surfing legend Michael Ho, Coco first started surfing at age seven in order to impress her older brother Mason Ho and was already competing in junior events all over Oahu, Hawaii two years later (she earned her first sponsorship at the age of eight). At age seventeen Coco qualified for the Association of Surfing Professionals Women's World Tour and won the WCT Rookie of the Year Award in 2009. Among Ho's notable surfing achievements are the 2005 Open Women's Regional Hawaii Champion, the 2006 Open Regional Hawaiian Champion, the 2006 Hawaii Billabong Junior Champion, the 2007 Triple Crown Rookie of the Year, first place at the 2007 VQS Championship, second place at the 2007 Open Women NSSA Nationals, the 2008 US Open Region Junior Pro Champion, the 2009 Ripcurl Search Portugal Champion, first place at the 2010 Supergirl Pro Junior contest, the 2011 ASP Pro Junior Champion, the 2011 World Qualifying Champion, and the 2013 ASP Heat of the Year. Moreover, Coco was rated in Surfer Magazine's Top 5 must popular surfers' Surfer Poll at second place in 2011, third place in both 2010 and 2012, and fourth place in 2013.
