Miguel Vasilskis has lived in Uruguay, France and Brazil and has been making films since he was a teenager. In 1997 he went to Cuba to study cinematography at the Escuela Internacional de Cine y Televisión (EICTV), where he met and colaborated with Miguel Coyula, photgraphing three of his student films. There he also met Eryk Rocha for whom he photographed Stones in the Sky (2002), a feature documentary about the exile of Glauber Rocha in Cuba. Vasilskis is an acomplished cinematographer with experience in almost every genre and style. He has photgraphed and sometimes directed over 25 works: Documentaries, music videos, commercials, features, shorts and animation.
