Esther Canata

Esther Canata is an international singer/songwriter, recording artist and actress of stage and screen. Born and raised in NJ, she started singing in church at 5 years old and performed throughout childhood studying voice, dance and acting. Esther attended the esteemed Somerset County Vocational -Technical high school for the gifted and talented and is 3rd year alumni of the prestigious William Esper Drama School in NYC where she studied with Vicki Hart and Bill Esper. As indie-film actress she can be seen in a starring roles in American Mummy, opposite Michael Madsen in Hired Gun, Metro, Slammed and with Drea De Matteo in "Love,Rome". Notable stage credits include Othello and CowBoy Mouth at The New Jersey Shakespeare Festival , award winning Disassembly at Theater of Note in Hollywood by Steve Yockey and in various works at the Hollywood Fringe Festival. She has trained alongside and appeared in stage productions opposite the likes of Peter Dinklage, David Harbour and Drea Dematteo and is a member of Theater of Note in Hollywood. Esther is singer/songwriter in various music projects and fronts cinematic, electronic-pop duo, LionGale , w/ composer/producer Lionel Cohen. She's shared a publishing deal w/ BMG music , is a member of ASCAP and places her songs in various film/TV soundtrack projects worldwide. She has performed in venues from NYC to LA to Europe such as Joe's Pub, The Cutting Room, The Knitting Factory ,House of Blues,The Viper Room, The Roxy, and The Lovestock music festival in Croatia. She has collaborated with producers Jimmy Harry (Pink,Kylie Minogue,Kelly Clarkson) Tommy Coster (Eminem), Grammy Award-winning Andy Heard (AKA Fanatic) , Anthony Krizan (Spin Doctors), Skully (Sony producer/publishing UK), Goldi (Goldishack Guerillas) and film score composers such as Angelo Milli (7 Pounds), Frederik Weidman (Picard),and Mark Garcia(Ovasen Productions).
