Jayprakkash Shaw

Jayprakkash Shaw is an Indian film director, producer,screenwriter and music album director. He was born on 15 January,1967 in Jaunpur ( Uttar Pradesh ) India. Brought up in Kolkata (W.B.) he is a commerce graduate. He is permanently settled in Mumbai. He started his creative journey as an assistant director and worked with many renowned filmmakers like Indar Kumar, K. Bapu (South Indian film Industry ), Saawan Kumar Tak and Sameer Malkan. There are 9 Hindi films to his credit. The films he directed as an independent director are : 1. Saajan Ki Baahon Mein, 2. Manchala, 3. Tapish, 4. Market, 5. Chahat Ek Nasha, 6. Sauda the Deal, 7. Dee Saturday Night, 8. Mad, 9. Miss Teacher. Also he directed a couple of regional flicks which are : 1.Purab Aur Paschim, 2. Pandav, 3. Tu Hamaar Hau, 4. Dharmatma, (Bhojpuri) 5. Murder (Bengali). His ambitious film Maachis, which is based on the controversial issue of Kashmir, is to mount the floor very shortly.
