Joris Sluizer started to work in film as an assistant editor with Louis van Gasteren. He later orientated himself to props and setdressing and the consruction of large scale models. Working for many years within the art department of mainly feature films, he perfectioned his skills and co-Art directed for instance 'Searching for Eileen 'and Red Desert Penitentiary. Specializing in visual concepts and decors he went to work in France for the very famous 'Les Guignols de L'info from Canal +, where he was known for his innovating work within the field of models and digital effects aswell as propbuilding. He equally worked on the design and decoration of several important café-restaurants and developed a personal style by a remarkable combination of styles and techniques. For The Stoneraft he performed as a effects supervisor and equally made the storyboards for all the special effects scenes. He is actually working as a Visual Effects Supervisor with VLM virtual environments, a digital effects house based in Amsterdam, Netherlands.
