Music Video and Commercial Director Nino Del Padre launched his videography business in 1991, shooting video of weddings and corporate events, basing his operations in a closet in his apartment where he was born in Springfield, MA. That was just a few years before the Internet and advances in computers opened up a world of opportunities for visually and technologically inclined entrepreneurs, and Del Padre was happy to jump on board. Del Padre's career was inspired and motivated by music video's of the early to mid 1990s citing directors David Fincher Samuel Bayer as well as filmmaker Oliver Stone. Mark Romanek's work was very influential to Del Padre. One of Romanek's notable videos was for the Nine Inch Nails song "Closer". The video is heavily inspired by the Brothers Quay film "Street of Crocodiles", It is also one that the Museum of Modern Art has added to its permanent collection. Del Padre experimented with creating short movies and music video's in the early 1990s and started doing work as an extra in films to gain experience from Hollywood crews and directors. He can be seen as an extra in "Before and After" starring Meryl Streep and Liam Neeson , "Whipped" staring Amanda Peet and Steven Spielberg's "Amistad" staring Morgan Freeman and Anthony Hopkins. Del Padre eventually moved into a spare room with a door, but more importantly, he later found a space in the East Longmeadow, MA. Industrial Park, where he began to develop his skills in Internet and multimedia productions. At first, admittedly 'primitive' Web sites designed in Microsoft Word were only a shadow of the advanced work to come, Del Padre said, while a subtle name change from Del Padre Video Productions to Del Padre Visual Productions and more recently Del Padre Digital reflected the potential of the future. Del Padre is proficient in both the interactive medium as well as digital cinematography and 3D rendering. Some of the tools that he uses are Autodesk Maya for product rendering, Adobe Creative Suite for design and video editing. Winner of many awards both local and global such as several Telly Awards, Addy Awards, being named "Top 100 Producers" by Studio Monthly magazine's rundown for three consecutive years and being nominated by Rob Burgess of Macromedia (Adobe) for 2003 Computerworld Honors Collection for the NASA STS 107 project "Space Research and You". The case study is archived in 30 countries as a leading example of how IT is used in Media, Arts & Entertainment to benefit society. The Howard Stern Show took notice of the project, and invited Del Padre to be an in-studio guest on The Howard Stern Show.
