Nathan Thomas Peterson was born to John and Eileen Peterson (nee Phillips) in Boston, Massachusetts. After a fairly normal childhood, Peterson exploded onto the scene with his phenomenal music abilities, winning the respect of jazz legends Jackie McLean and Steve Davis (Art Blakey and the Jazz Messengers). Ever since then, Peterson has tried to maintain a relatively low profile. He now divides his time teaching sailing in Charlestown, works for a plumbing company out of Everett, MA, and can be found at either the Frog Pond in Everett, or at PJ Ryan's Irish Pub in Somerville, MA, where he works the door and hosts a weekly pub quiz. Peterson has said that his biggest influences are Bill Murray, Jesus and Bill Pullman, in that order. Peterson is also an exceptional sharpshooter, having trained extensively with former USMC sniper Luke McCall. Peterson has taken his good fortune in stride, and continues to have a positive attitude.
