Tuukka Tiensuu is a Finnish director, writer and producer. He was born in Rovaniemi, Finland, just a few miles off from the Arctic Circle. Tiensuu made his first short movies in 1993 and after graduating from high school, he moved to Helsinki, the capital of Finland. After working odd-jobs as a graphic designer, editor and cinematographer, Tiensuu found permanent employment on a Finnish cable TV-channel MoonTV. He worked as a director and editor on several shows of the channel, such as Dresscode, Extreme Duudsonit, Overdose and Play. In 2003 MoonTV went bankrupt and Tiensuu started working as a freelance music-video and TV-ad director. But his main employment was as a creator/producer/director/writer on The Dudesons, a Finnish hit TV-series which became an international success in 2006 and was consequently sold to over 150 countries. In 2008 Tiensuu co-created and directed the Finnish martial arts series "Kill Arman", which became a big international success, selling to over 100 countries worldwide. The series lasted for 2 seasons. In 2010 The Dudesons In America premiered on MTV America, with Tiensuu as a co-creator, producer, writer and editor on the show. The show aired all around the world on MTV. From 2011 to 2014 Tiensuu worked as a producer, writer, cinematographer and editor in the hit TV-series "The Dudesons Home Invasion" (Duudsonit Tuli Taloon). In 2015 Tiensuu co-directed the final season of "The Dudesons". In 2013 Tiensuu co-created a new show with Arman Alizad: Beyond Human Boundaries (Arman & Viimeinen Ristiretki). Tiensuu is a director, writer, cinematographer and an editor on the show. The series documents Arman living with exceptional people in extraordinary environments around the world. So far in 2023 the show has aired for four seasons. From 2016 to 2022 Tiensuu has worked as a cinematographer and editor for Arman Alizad's hit TV-series, "Arman Pohjantähden Alla".
