John Beaton Hill

Award winning filmmaker John Beaton Hill and his production company Galaxy/Ad Infinitum is committed to excellence in film. Born and raised in Boston Massachusetts, John was an accomplished gymnast at Syracuse University where he was the recipient of the Phi Epsilon Kappa Award for most outstanding student athlete. He was also the featured gymnast in the 1992 Olympic Games' closing ceremonies in Barcelona, Spain and brings this level of commitment and excellence to all that he does. John is a graduate of Syracuse University and attended The University of Wisconsin, Madison as well as the National Theater Institute in Waterford, Connecticut. Through Galaxy, John has worked primarily in production [as producer, associate producer, line producer], though he also has a range of experience in pre-production work, including acquisitions [as Director of Development and Acquisitions for Iron Entertainment] and casting, and he has written several screenplays, the latest of which, "Killing Jane Doe" and "The Devil's Lottery," are now in pre-production/development. John worked closely with screenwriter Mardik Martin (Raging Bull, Mean Streets) and studied with Milton Katselas and Jeffery Tambor at The Beverly Hills Playhouse. He also studied with Byrne and Joyce Piven at the Piven Theater Workshop in Chicago. John has experience on both sides of production and brings a rare depth of talent, commitment, focus, and energy to every project in development. It is his firm belief that a film is made frame by frame, that every detail is important, that a quality film is made only in these close labors, that hard work and determination cannot be purchased, and that any great film is a product first of a great concentration of motive. John produced a number of short films before writing, directing, and producing the accomplished festival short, "Meter Maids Anonymous" starring Kurt Fuller. John then wrote, directed, and produced "The Wolves of Savin Hill," and won the prestigious Chris Brinker Award (most outstanding first feature film) at the 2014 San Diego Film Festival. One of the most talked about projects at the SDFF, "The Wolves of Savin Hill" is a crime-thriller starring Brian Scannell (Gone Baby Gone) David Cooley, Tonya Cornelisse (Crave), Kurt Fuller (Midnight in Paris), Jack McGee (The Fighter), and Michael Massee (Se7en). Most recently "Wolves" was accepted into the 2015 Independent Filmmakers Showcase Film Festival in Los Angeles and won the audience award for Best Feature Film, as well as winning Best Supporting Actress for Suzanne Willard at the 2015 Action on Film Festival. "The Wolves of Savin Hill" is truly a labor of love and represents what we consider to be the first of many feature length independent films to fall under the banner, GALAXY AD/INFINITUM.
