Pedro J. Marquez's work was internationally recognized with his debut on the feature film "Kidnapped" (2011), directed by Miguel A. Vivas. This astonishing Spanish thriller, shot in 12 long takes in only 12 shooting days, won Best Picture and Best Director Awards at the Fantastic Fest in Austin (USA) and achieved the Best Cinematography Debut Nomination at the prestigious Camerimage - International Film Festival of the Art of Cinematography, amongst many other awards. In 2013, acclaimed director Ryuhey Kitamura ("Versus", "Azumi") invited Pedro to be the DP of the Japanese production "Lupin the Third", a live-action film adaptation of the world-famous manga of the same name. The production couldn't be more different than his previous works: a Japanese big-budget film full of action and visual effects. The experience was a huge success, cementing Pedro's status as a DP of many budgets and no frontiers.
