Vicente Perez was born in Algorfa (Spain) in 1978. He started his career as an editor, cutting movie trailers and TV spots. As a filmmaker, he is behind numerous award-winning short films, including "El Tipo" (Opening Film at The Other Venice Film Festival 06 and Second Prize winner at the Notodo Film Fest) and the short documentary "Talented" (Living Proof Film Festival 06). His work has been screened in more than twenty countries on four continents. Vicente has worked in feature documentaries such as "Fields of Fuel", winner of the Audience Award at the 2008 Sundance Film Festival. His own award-winning documentary "Weapons of Mass Addiction", has been in the official selection of more than 20 international competitions, including the renowned Warsaw International Film Festival; and was nominated for Best Screenplay by the Writers Guild of Spain (ALMA). He was awarded the prestigious INJUVE Scholarship, given by the Spanish Ministry of Culture; and chosen as on of the top young filmmakers at the 54th. Valladolid International Film Festival (Seminci).
