Tiiu Loigu, pronounced tea-you, is a first generation American of Estonian decent. A native Californian born and raised in Tustin and moved to Fallbrook, California at the age of eight. Tiiu was deeply inspired by the European sensibility of her immigrant parents. She developed an appreciation of the arts, theatre and country living at a very young age. Tiiu joined 4-H club where she was involved with horses, rabbits and cooking. She studied piano and was accepted into the National Guild. Her interest in helping others led Tiiu to join the National Charity League, a six year core program of community service, leadership development and cultural activities. She was awarded the Merci Award for donating the most hours to her community during her Senior year of High School and was also presented to the Fallbrook Community as a debutante. Tiiu appeared in her first fashion show at the age of five years, inspiring her to participate in local theatre, Glee Club and modeling. She participated and placed in many Southern California pageants where she reined Miss Fallbrook, won First Runner Up in Miss US Teen pageant and Forth Runner Up in Miss Gold Coast. This is when she was discovered by Elegance School of Modeling and Talent in San Diego and began her career in modeling. Tiiu also attended San Diego State University where she studied Interior Design and Theater. She moved to Los Angeles where she continued her acting studies, attending John Ruskin School of Acting for over a year and took classes at Santa Monica College in the Theatre Department, and continued modeling through her representation by Bobby Ball and Brand agencies. She also continued furthering her college education in Interior Design at Cal State Northridge. Tiiu's first acting role as waitress in feature film Layover starring David Hasselhoff and Greg Henry is where she earned her qualification to be a SAG-AFTRA union member. Several years later, she was cast in Kix Brooks 'New To This Town' (Brooks and Dunn) music video. Her most recent film roles are Nurse in Love by Drowning starring Nicky Whelan and Collin Egglesfield, Nurse in A Mermaid's Tale starring Caitlin Carmichael and Jerry O'Connell, role of Pammy Tustin in You're Gonna Miss Me starring John Schneider and Leo Howard and Waitress in Lemonheads starring George Jonson and William Shockley. Tiiu expanded her interest in filmmaking and wears many hats as a women in film. Recently, she was Casting Director along with Penny Perry, VP of Casting at Hallmark on original TV movie, Home by Spring starring Poppy Drayton, Steven R McQueen and Kix Brooks. She also was the Extras Casting Director on INSP original TV movie, Legends of Five Mile Cave starring Jeremy Sumpter and Allie DeBerry. Her other Casting Director credits include feature film Love by Drowning starring Nicky Whelan and Collin Egglesfield, A Mermaid's Tale starring Jerry O'Connell and Barry Bostwick, You're Gonna Miss Me starring John Schneider and Leo Howard and Hot Bath An A Stiff Drink starring Grainger Hines and Rex Linn. Tiiu also cast the Randy Houser music videos 'We Went' and 'Like A Cowboy'. Tiiu's talent for photography led her to become Set Photographer on many projects, Legends of Five Mile Cave, Mistrust, A Mermaid's Tale, You're Gonna Miss Me, Hot Bath An A Stiff Drink and Rand Houser 'We Went' and 'Like A Cowboy' music videos. Her photography was recently published in Vanity Fair in the May 2018 issue featuring photo of actor Eric Roberts from feature film You're Gonna Miss Me. In addition, Tiiu was hired as Costume Designer on Love by Drowning and A Mermaid's Tale and recently was Set Costumer on Hallmark Original TV Movie, Christmas at Graceland starring Kellie Pickler and Wes Brown and Costumer Supervisor on Hallmark Original TV Movie, Home By Spring. Tiiu is now a proud member of the IATSE union. Tiiu also served as Producer on an award winning short film, Common Threads, the directorial debut of William Shockley and Associate Producer on Hallmark Original TV Movie, Home by Spring. In her spare time, she enjoys living a healthy active lifestyle, listening to all genres of music, playing piano, watching movies, playing golf, yoga, cooking and baking, entertaining, interior design, landscaping, traveling and enjoying time and creating beautiful memories with her husband, family and friends. She prides herself on her hard work ethic, her diverse job experiences and being an active woman in film, hoping to inspire women all over the world to follow their bliss as an artist in the entertainment industry and encourage others to always chase their dreams.
