Jake Ross is a screenwriter and director from Toronto, Canada. As a kid, Jake began making short films with his father's camcorder, often casting his siblings or friends in his movies. In his final year of high school Jake wrote and directed his first feature film, Blind Eyes (2003), which he screened at the University of Toronto. After graduating film school, Jake started a boutique creative agency and production company, where he specialized in crafting short form viral content for prominent brands. His first short film, w4m (2011), was a no-budget thriller that premiered at Montreal's Fantasia Film Festival. His second short, Online Now (2012), was lauded for being a sprawling visual narrative taking viewers into the world of contemporary online social interaction, accumulating millions of views online and appearing on several best short films of the year lists.
