Writer, director, and producer, Hyan Thiboutot was born in the little mining town of Rouyn-Noranda, Quebec. At an early age, his mother instilled in him the love of literature and scary movies. At twenty-three, he headed the writer's department at RedDot Production Studios for three years. He has since doctored numerous projects for studios and production companies in the UK, Hollywood, Australia, Greece and Canada. He now lives in Edinburgh.
