Originally from Mechancisville, VA, CeCe Pleasants moved to NYC out of high school to attend the American Musical and Dramatic Academy. After graduation, she spent some time among the Amish performing in musicals at the Round Barn Theater in Nappanee Indiana. Yep. Back in Manhattan, she traded musical theater for standup and sketch comedy. She performed in clubs all over NY, and on the 1-9 train in the acclaimed guerrilla theater series "Subway Soaps." She wrote and performed several original sketch comedy shows, and worked as a writer and in development at the Oxygen network. After moving to Los Angeles in 2001, CeCe continued to do standup and Sketch Comedy while focusing on television writing. In her spare time, she passionately pursues macrame, first aid, doll collecting and other lady-appropriate hobbies.
