Following a successful career as a documentary writer, in 2001, Keith Shaw jumped from factual writing to dramatic, penning his first movie, "Maximum Surge"(aka "Game Over.") Keith next worked on several projects for Canada's largest production company, Insight Film Studios, where he headed up the Studio's in-house writing department. In 2003 Keith returned to factual writing, penning the HD documentary, "Easter Island, Children of the Moai" (commissioned by Discovery HD, CBC "Nature of Things" and NHK Japan Hi-Vision.) This feature length HD doc stemmed from Keith's writing winning the "HD One-page Competition" at the Banff Television Festival the previous year. Keith next wrote and collaborated on many productions, including the series, "Painkiller Jane," and "K-9" as well as the films, "Captive Hearts," "Presumed Dead," and "Home for the Holidays." In 2008, Keith lent his talent to the movie sequel, "Art of War II" for Sony Pictures. In 2009, he wrote the highly rated SyFy original movie, "Malibu Shark Attack," and co-wrote "Phantom Racer." Since 2013, Keith has been an executive producer, including the films: Absolute Deception" starring Cuba Gooding Jr., "Pound of Flesh" with Jean-Claude Van Damme and "Hard Drive" with John Cusack and Thomas Jane. Among Keith's recent writing credits are "Buried Secrets" and "Maternal Instinct" for Lifetime Network and the original story idea for the Rom Com series, "Honeymoon in Paradise." In addition to writing and producing, Keith has taught screenwriting at film schools in Vancouver and Shanghai. In 2021 Keith joined the team at Ambitious Entertainment.
