“The world is full of opportunities and I want to try as many as I can.” Evangeline Lilly is a Canadian actress and writer, best known for her portrayal of Kate Austen in the hit series Lost (2004 to 2010) which tells the story of the survivors of a plane crash on a mysterious island. This role brought her not only worldwide recognition, but also Golden Globe nominations. At the beginning of her career, Evangeline participated in commercials and small roles for series, but then the series Lost opened the doors to a successful career in film, she was part of the cast of The Hobbit (2013 and 2014) playing Tauriel, a character created for the film adaptation. In the following years, she began to be part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, playing Hope van Dyne, known as Wasp, in Ant-man (2015) and then in Ant-man and the Wasp (2018) and Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantummania (2023). She participated with the same role in Avengers: Endgame (2019) one of the highest grossing films. Evangeline Lilly is also a writer, in 2013 she released her first book The Squickerwonkers, which is the first of a graphic series for children, she is also known for her activism, especially on social and environmental issues. In 2024, Lilly confirmed that she will temporarily stop acting to dedicate herself to her family and new humanitarian projects.
