Date of birth : 12/04/1967
City of birth : Royal Oak, Michigan, USA

Stephen Wise grew up knowing he was going to be a storyteller. He started writing stories from the time he could pick up a pencil and taught himself to type on an old family typewriter at an early age. When he was eight, his friends introduced him to filmmaking using a super-8 camera. During his childhood and teen years, Stephen kept himself busy making short films. Moving from a small town in Michigan to Texas and then to Oklahoma, Stephen finally relocated to Orlando, Florida, where he was accepted into the inaugural class of the University of Central Florida's prestigious film school. Since graduating, Stephen has concentrated his efforts on screenwriting and independent filmmaking. His feature-length screenplay Sinkhole, co-written by Lee Shapiro, placed in the top 10 of the 2001 Writer's Digest Screenplay contest. His directorial efforts include the short films "Crooks," "From the Ashes," "A Twist in the Tale," and "Ice Blue." His works have been displayed in film festivals across the country, and "Crooks" earned him a Best Directing award. This short film also was featured on the syndicated television series Comedy Night School. Stephen is a principal in the motion picture production company The Imagination Foundry (www.theimaginationfoundry.com) and is currently in pre-production on the feature film The Magic Hour.
