Tina Gharavi is a Sundance and BAFTA-nominated writer/director and show-runner initially trained as a painter in the United States later studying cinema in France. Fearless in her approach to storytelling, and unafraid to cross borders and disciplines, Gharavi is noted for innovative cross-platform work, often about outsiders, rebels and misfits, and has garnered the attention of the film industry through her acclaimed BAFTA-nominated feature, I Am Nasrine. She has worked previously as a high-end TV director working on shows such as The Tunnel (Sky TV) and is in development on her own episodic series set in the UK and Iceland as show-runner in addition to further feature projects with the BFI and Film Four. Gharavi resides in the North of England and Los Angeles. She is represented as a director by Roxana Adle at Independent Talent Agency in the UK and Noah Jones at Gersh in the US.
