Seth Hampton is an award winning, critically acclaimed, performer with over 30 years professional experience as a featured soloist in Broadway touring companies, concerts, and repertory theater. He has performed and toured throughout the US and Canada, as well as Asia, the Middle East and Europe. Seth grew up traveling between the two very different worlds of green, progressive Portland, Oregon and gritty industrial Detroit. As child of an actress/dancer mother Marcia and musician/visual artist father Jean, he spent his early years surrounded by rehearsing musicians and actors. After graduating from the prestigious Jefferson High School of the Performing Arts (1988) Seth was awarded the National Presidential Scholarship and invited to perform solo at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C. Seth was accepted on scholarship into the Juilliard School (1989) 2001 Seth is especially honored to have been able to reprise Don Lockwood in "Singin' In The Rain" (2001) made famous by childhood hero and inspiration Gene Kelly. "Seth Hampton sizzles as the Heartthrob Don Lockwood...Easily gives Gene Kelly a run for his money. Some say perfection cannot be topped, but in this case an exception to the rule prevails" -Bruce J. Singer (North County Times) Seth's one-man show, "Gotta Move!" was developed at Yale university in 2011 and directed by Broadway veteran Jason Graae. "Gotta Move! "played to sold out houses in LA as well as toured Nationally and was Nominated Best Male Cabaret artist for 2012 Broadway World Theatre awards. In 2017 The film version/ documentary was produced.
