Carolina Gaitán is a Colombian actress and singer. She studied at the Lee Strasberg Theater & Film Institute in New York. Thanks to her talent and versatility, she has won 2 Telemundo Tu Mundo Awards. She is the voice of the character "Pepa" in the Disney movie Encanto, winner of the Oscar for best animated film, and her song "No se habla de Bruno" was part of the central show of the 94th edition of the Oscars where the film it had three nominations, in addition the song is nominated at the American music awards and tops the Billboard charts as well as several billboards worldwide, resulting in one of the most successful design soundtracks of recent times, positioning Carolina as the first Colombian woman in managing to be in first place for so many weeks in this recognized ranking. She also participated in the promotional theme "This is Me" from The Greatest Showman. She is the producer of her own musical monologue entitled 'Vida', with which she has achieved total box office success at the Colón Theater, one of the most prestigious venues in her country, Colombia, as well as alternate seasons in other venues in various countries. In addition to having starred in numerous television series with leading roles in Celia, Sin Senos Sí Hay Paraíso and Narcos, among many others, in addition to several series that are in the reproduction rankings of Latin America and other territories such as Juanpis González and Malayerba, her character la made her worthy of the nomination for best female performance, at the Platino awards of the Ibero-American audiovisual industry and the nomination for India Catalina 2022 for Best Actress for Malayerba. She has also worked in several musicals at the National Theater of Colombia. As a singer, she has lent her voice to many theme songs for television and has her own album composed by herself. Two projects with very different nuances and themes will be released very soon, where the actress demonstrates her versatility as a professional in a leading role, the thriller Quicksand by director Andrés Beltran and the series Second Chance produced by Usatv.
