Kazuya Shimizu was born in Okayama prefecture with real name Kazuhiko Shimizu. In the 80s he came to Tokyo as a teenager and was trained martial arts by Yasuaki Kurata who were also a promotion for martial art movies in Japan and Hong Kong. With Kurata production, Kazuya became good at Karate, Judo, Kickboxing, etc. Also, he is also active in swordsman, He uses his talents to become a stuntman and he also became a main actor due to his great acting talent and great psychological handsome look. In 1986 he started in a Japanese TV series named Abunai Deka (dangerous detective), he played a role of a bad behaving student. The series continued from 1986 to 1988 and also got movies and video games based on it. In 1988 Kazuya went with Mr Kurata to Hong Kong for making the movie Blood Sport. Although the title is similar to JVCD movie Blood sports from 1986, the two movies are not connected. Kazuya played a role as gang member, he was 21 years old. In 1990s he worked in many TV series and films including Solbrain and Black Angel. In 1998 he became a hero actor when he played the role of Ultraman Agul in Ultraman Gaia series, it held on for two years. In early 2000s he also stunt worked in video games and voice overs. In 2002 he played a role of a Yakuza bodyguard in Returner but he also co directed the movie, it was the first time he was a director. In 2003 he became world famous when he played the role of the assassin Nissai in Azumi. Azumi is based on manga books with same title and it's one of the biggest 2000s worldwide blockbusters movies from Japan together with Battle Royale, and Spirited Away. Kazuya continues to work in the movie industry and is known as one greatest and friendliest person to work with, he made many friends with actors and actresses from The Chosen Sentai series and also two foreign actors that works in Asia.
