Amy Nicholson

Amy Nicholson is a commercial director and award-winning documentary filmmaker. After several decades as an advertising Creative Director, she lost her mind and attended NYU Film School. Her first feature, MUSKRAT LOVELY, premiered at the Hamptons and was broadcast on Independent Lens. Her second feature, ZIPPER: CONEY ISLAND'S LAST WILD RIDE, qualified for an Oscar after a theatrical run at the IFC. Her short titled PICKLE was selected as a New York Times Op Doc. Amy's work has been reviewed by Variety, Indiewire, The Hollywood Reporter, The Wall Street Journal and The New York Times. Amy recently wrote and directed IRONY which debuted as a Vimeo Staff Pick and is currently working on a feature-length project starring the denizens of a waterfront trailer park. She counts dog groomers, muskrat skinners, and grizzled carnies as some of her closest friends.
