Helen Goldwyn is an actor, director, writer and composer, best known for her directing, writing and voice work with Big Finish Productions, where she has written over 20 audio drama episodes and directed and appeared in over 100. She is the winner of the 2018 One Voice Award for 'Best Radio Performance'. Goldwyn attended Arts Educational School where she trained originally in ballet, then musical theatre. She has a versatile mezzo soprano voice and is a highly experienced singer. On-screen, she has appeared in 'Waking the Dead', 'Doctors', 'The Second Quest' (directed by David Jason), 'Final Demand'. Audio drama credits include series regular roles in the series 'The Tomorrow People', 'Survivors', 'The Prisoner' and 'Doctor Who'. Her theatre experience spans thirty years and has encompassed plays, musicals, concerts and cabarets in the UK and Internationally. Credits include seasons at Regents Park Open Air Theatre (directed by Judi Dench), Chichester Festival Theatre, Apollo Theatre and Arts Theatre (West End), Renaissance Theatre Company (directed by Kenneth Branagh) and lead roles in 'Me and My Girl', 'Hello Dolly', 'High Society', 'Summer in the City', 'The Vagina Monologues', 'Abigail's Party', 'The Good Companions', 'Personals', 'My Fair Lady', 'Romeo and Juliet' and 'Macbeth'. Goldwyn's self-penned musical comedy show 'Ladies Go-Diva' debuted at The English Theatre of Hamburg and toured numerous venues and headlined at London's top cabaret venues including Zedels and The Pheasantry. She co-wrote and co-starred in the comedy sketch show pilot 'Skitches' and was a member of professional comedy improv group 'The Funny Women Players'. She lives in Surrey with her husband and two sons.
