Born and raised in Austria and Germany, Marlene Morreis went on to study Scandinavian Literature - earing a Master's degree from the University of Munich, Germany. While in graduate school she was cast in guerilla filmmaker Klaus Lemke's Running out of Cool and as a supporting character in a couple of stage shows at the dinner theater she worked at as a waitress at the time. After adventurous stints to Sweden and Alaska she moved to New York in 2005 to study at the renowned The New School for Drama, where she earned an M.F.A. in Acting in 2008. Since then she has appeared in numerous American as well as German and Austrian TV and film productions, quickly becoming a household name.
