Elias Stimac is an actor-writer-director-producer-journalist from Cleveland, Ohio. After performing in high school and community plays, he majored in Theatre Arts at Cleveland State University. He also studied improvisational comedy at Chicago's Second City Player's Workshop with fellow performers Robert Smigel, Bob Odenkirk, Doug Dale and Tyrone Finch. Moving to Hollywood, Stimac worked in multiple capacities in the entertainment industry, including stints with Universal Studios, NBC, and ABC/Disney. He honed his improv skills with Joel Murray at National Lampoon, and performed in Renaissance Faires across the country. He also landed a job as a celebrity interviewer and arts critic for Drama-Logue Magazine. He performed and produced many stage plays and musicals in Los Angeles, while honing his skills as a director and playwright. Over 40 of his scripts were staged in Los Angeles, including Wonderful Life and A'Carolling at the Zeitgeist Theatre Company, Closin' Time at Metropole Theatre, and Yuletidings! at the Road Theatre in 1997. Being so close to Hollywood, he began writing TV and film scripts whenever he could, submitting to top producers and directors. And he made several prominent television appearances on shows such as Good Morning America and America's Funniest People. Relocating to New York, Stimac wrote extensively for BackStage Magazine while producing stage shows at such venues as Raw Space and American Theatre of Actors. Over the course of six years, dozens of his theatre works made their NYC premieres. Heading down to Florida to review theatre for the New Times weekly publication, Stimac has recently turned his attention back to screenplays, completing his latest biographical drama in seven days. As for stage work, his most recent production was the holiday hit Hot Babes in Toyland, which played in New York, Seattle and Fort Lauderdale during the 2009 holiday season. His upcoming projects include a major stage musical and a feature-length comedy.
