A native of Detroit, Val made his debut in 2001 in the Independent feature, filmed in Toledo, "In The Company of Strangers." He also co-produced/directed "Devil's Land" Starring the Academy Award nominated actress, Sally Kirkland. Since then, Val has won several awards for his career in filmmaking. In addition to his recurring role on the daytime soap opera, "General Hospital" Val also co-stars as the character known as JD in the Sony Pictures animated feature film, "Resident Evil: Damnation."
