A well-known television presenter and recognizable voice, Susan Osman is well known as an experienced broadcaster in both Television and Radio, in numerous fields of journalism: news, current affairs, consumer affairs and business news for both BBC and ITV. After many years on the BBC network, Susan temporarily moved to China where she was asked to devise a new live daily radio Breakfast Show for China Radio International (CRI) in Beijing. The program, The Beijing Hour with Susan Osman was transmitted live in China, Australia and America and then was translated on line into 62 languages and had an estimated audience of over 30 million listeners worldwide. During her time in Beijing, she also presented and produced television programs for China's only privately owned television station, Blue Ocean Network (BON) for the American market: BON News, Beyond the Headlines and Chinalogue Due to the popularity of The Beijing Hour and Susan's high profile in Beijing she was very much in demand: chairing debates, lecturing, and running workshops in China. Susan has been invited to become Professor of Communication and Leadership by the prestigious Communication University of China, teaching China's political leaders and professional broadcasters. She is involved with a book about her time in China, "Flirting with" the Dragon and developing a documentary series with the Shanghai Media group, China's untold stories with Susan Osman. Alongside her broadcasting work, Susan is also a spiritual teacher and inspirational speaker. As an ordained interfaith minister, she officiates at services and provides spiritual counseling. She began her career as a Theatre Director/Voice Coach in the USA (Washington DC) where she was given the keys of the city for her work with underprivileged black actors. A speech specialist, along with Cicely Berry (RSC) she worked at the Guildhall of Music Speech and Drama. It was while teaching at the well-known girls' school, Roedean that she was "spotted" by a BBC television crew and decided to pursue a broadcasting career which has since spanned over thirty years.
