Steve Rivo was born on December 10, 1970 in Boston, MA. He grew up in Brookline, MA and attended Brookline High School. In 1989 he moved to New York City to attend Columbia University, where he majored in U.S. history, studied film and English literature, and graduated in 1993. He is a producer and director, known for non-fiction television work including Death Row Stories, Morgan Spurlock's Inside Man, The Vice Guide to Everything, several episodes of PBS' American Experience, and numerous true-crime documentaries.
