Jennifer Peña

Beautiful singer, Jennifer Pena was born on September 17, 1983 in San Antonio, Texas to proud parents, Jaime & Mary Pena. She is of Mexican-American descent. When she was a baby, her family moved to Corpus Christi. She has two sisters, Janet & Jackie. Her sister Jackie was a Miss Texas Teen in 1994. When she was 11, she was given the opportunity to sing at a Tribute to Selena in 1995. She performed in front of thousands that day at the Houston Astrodome. Immediately she was given media attention as the "next Selena." She signed with Q Productions, the recording company run by Selena's father and enjoyed regional success, winning numerous Tejano Music Awards. When she turned 18 in 2001, she signed with Univision Music, and crossed over into the international music scene. She has enjoyed much success in past years, winning Premio Lo Nuestro awards for Best Regional Mexican Female, and Billboard honors for her records going gold & platinum.
