Joe Lia

Joe grew up in Washington State, where he spent his childhood reading and making movies on an old camcorder. He started acting in high school and moved to Los Angeles to study film at the University of Southern California. There, he starred in and made a number of student films. Upon graduation in December 2003, he landed the lead role in Everett Lewis's feature, FAQs (2005). He then went on to co-write, edit, and star in the award-winning drama Shamelove (2006). He then played the lead role in thriller, The Shadows (2007), which premiered at Outfest 2007. Joe is now wrapping up post-production on Sweet Thing, a story about lost youth in Seattle, and his first feature film as a writer/director.
