Tom Powers is one of the founding partners of Toronto based Open Door Co. He is a senior entertainment executive and attorney with several years of high level experience as an executive producer/producer/creator of prime time television, critically acclaimed award winning films and recorded music. Tom is a Canadian Screen Award nominee and has produced 8 prime time series and 6 feature documentaries in the last 12 years. Focused on producing "Content That Matters", Tom's series credits include "Political Blind Date" for TVO and Intervention Canada (57x1) for A&E, CBC/Doc Channel and Shaw Media. Feature documentaries include: Pure Intentions for CBC/Doc Channel, Black Nation for SVT, The Swedish Film Institute and NHK, Cracked Not Broken for HBO (part of HBO's Multiple Award Winning Addiction Project) and multi award winning Independent America - The Two Lane Search for Mom & Pop for Sundance Channel.
