Kochmer is a actor, director, editor and producer who is the Head of Production for the indie film collective We Make Movies. Originally from a farm outside of Scranton, Pennsylvania, Eric studied experimental theater at Marymount Manhattan College after he graduated high school. While going to Marymount, he was cast in an ensemble at Lamama Theater led by the great theater director Elizabeth Swados, where he helped create the musical "Stragical Strategery: A Political Review". After college Eric wrote performed with Feed The Herd Theater Company in venues like Theater for New City, Teatro La Tea, The Soho Playhouse and The Trilogy Theater. One of his play's "Platonov! Platonov! Platonov! or The Case of A Very Angry Duck" was published in Play's and Playwrights 2004 edition and on Indietheater. While in New York, Kochmer starred in an early mumble-core film "Everything Unspoken" directed by Anthony Ferraro. After relocating to Los Angeles and acting in a small part in the horror movie "From a Place of Darkness" he starred and produced experimental filmmaker George Landow aka Owen Land's final film "Dialogues". Kochmer currently works as Chief of Production of the production company We Make Movies, Inc. (wemakemovies.org) as an associate producer and director of their International Film Festival. For his own productions he runs a small label called Elegant Grotesque (elegantgroseque.com) with Sapna Ganhi.
