Cassidy was born in Springfield, Missouri, and grew up in the small town of Eureka Springs, Arkansas, in a family of musicians. From a young age, Cassidy was inspired to perform and share his excitement for the arts, whether it was music, town theater, or school/college productions. His aspirations drew him to New York City in the year 2000 to pursue his biggest passion, music. During Cassidy's successes in the NYC music scene, he was approached by New York acting agency, Ingrid French Management. With Ingrid's help and development and joining improv classes at the Magnet Theater in NYC, he went from booking music videos like, MOP/Busta Rhyme's Ante Up, to acting in Orange Is the New Black. His love and pursuit for the film industry allowed him to join the SAG/AFTRA actors' union, which gave him the ability to do the following: Commercials Principle roles for Charles Schwab, Rolling Rock, Folgers, and Sam Adams Light. Films Dynamite (A Cautionary Tale), with actor Ian Harding (Pretty Little Liars), directed by Tate Steinsiek. Clean, (DVD Encore channel), directed by Nyle Calvalos Garcia. Bleeding, directed by Nyle Calvalos Garcia. Television As the World Turns, Law and Order, and Running Wilde. Then came Cassidy's most exciting experience yet: A charismatic scene with Taylor Schilling and Laura Prepon in Orange Is the New Black, directed by Jodie Foster. After his experience of working with Jodie Foster and the encouraging words she gave him, Cassidy decided to dive into acting wholeheartedly, and moved from New York City to Los Angeles, California. When he arrived to L.A., he was turned onto Peter Looney and Julia Hoffman's on camera acting class at the Actors Key in Burbank, CA. He is now excited to dive into the film "The Man Who Loved Woman" with director Nyle Cavasos Garcia.
