Born in 1985 to a family of artists with Lebanese-Egyptian roots, it was natural for Hana Shiha to develop a unique taste for art in all its forms since her early childhood, which later helped her in picking up diverse roles that flaunted her acting skills. Hana was born in Beirut, the hometown of her Lebanese mother Nadia Zeitoun, and shortly afterwards she moved back together with her mother and her father the internationally acclaimed painter Ahmed Shiha to Cairo, Egypt. Her sister is the actress Hala Shiha and she has other two sisters who worked in the industry before as well. In pursuit of her passion for stories, cinema and arts, Hana enrolled in the Academy of Arts, where she received a Bachelor's degree from the High Institute of Dramatic Arts, majoring in Acting and Directing. During her studies at the institute, she made her foray into acting in Hobena El Kebeer TV series (2000). Her performance touched off a flurry of film and television offers, including Toyour El Shams TV drama (2002), followed by her career-defining role in writer Tamer Habib and director Khaled Hagar's blockbuster Hob El Banat (2003), co-starring Laila Eloui, Hanan Turk and Ashraf Abdelbaki. Hana followed that by another hit film Dars Khosousi (2005) by Sameh Abdel Aziz. After establishing her name in the field with several hit titles under her belt, Hana's spontaneity and creativity propelled her name in front of salient director Mohamed Khan to pick her as the lead of his feature film Before the Summer Crowds (2015), which became another milestone in Hana's cinematic career. Her latest film was El Deezel (2018), where she starred opposite Egyptian star Mohamed Ramadan. Additionally, Hana is one of the most frequently present stars during the celebrated Ramadan drama season. Throughout her career, she starred in: the TV hit Yetraba Fe Ezzo (2007), starring opposite the salient Yehia El Fakharani, which was a massive success, recording the highest viewership rates that year. She also worked on Khas Giddan (Top Secret) (2009), Hekayat w Bene'sh'ha (Magnoon Laila) (2009), Mosharafa: A Man of This Time (2011), Share' Abdel Aziz (2011), Taraf Talet (2012), Moga Harra (2013), Al-Saba' Wasaya (2014), Al Ahd: Al Kalam Al Mubah (2015), Zel Al Ra'es (2017), Nasibi Wa Qesmetik (2017), and Ard El Nefaq (2018). During Ramadan 2020, she starred in the thriller TV drama Shahed Ayan, opposite Hassan Radad.
