Alex Scrymgeour

Alex Scrymgeour started Scrimmy Media in 2000 and produces television, short films and films. Alex has created, produced and starred in television shows and movies. In October 2013 Alex co-starred in Renko, an action adventure horror film shot in Madrid, Spain starring Carlos Bardem. Alex produced and starred in an award winning short film called "Whoa: The Influence of Art". Whoa won Best Visual & Special FX at the Houston International Film Festival, an Intermedia-Globe Award at the World Media Festival in Germany, Best Short Film Award at the New York Festivals, Official Selection Screening at the Bermuda International Film Festival, the North Hampton Independent Film Festival, Woods Hole Film Festival, and Boston Film Festival. In 2017 Alex created, wrote, produced, directed and hosted the world's first global pizza travel show: Pizza Perfect. In October 2017 Pizza Perfect obtained worldwide distribution through Espresso Media. In 2018 Alex was Executive Producer, creator and writer of the award winning television show Eddie's. Eddie's is a single camera comedy series starring Eddie McGee (Big Brother season one winner), George Wendt (Cheers), Nikki SooHoo (Heathers), and Jacob Zachar (Greek). Eddie's is directed and executive produced by Michael Lange (X-Files, Bones, Criminal Minds). Eddie's recently successfully screened at The Egyptian Theatre in Hollywood to an enthusiastic audience of over 300 people and was received exceptionally well. Eddie's also recently won Best Television Pilot at the California Film Awards 2019 and recently screened at the Hollywood Reel Independent Film Festival and the Irvine International Film Festival to packed sold out audiences. It also won a gold Remi Award at Worldfest Houston 2019, received special mention at the London Worldwide Comedy Short Film Festival, screened and was nominated for best pilot in June at the SOHO International Film Festival and won best pilot after screening on July 13, 2019 at the 22nd annual Long Island International Film Expo and screened in August 2019 at the Madrid International Film Festival.
