Steve is an award winning television and film director with over fifteen years experience of dramatizing stories with style, visual flair and gripping narratives. He was born in Manchester, UK and began his career working as a reporter for the BBC in Belfast before moving into directing documentaries, commercials and films. His first short, 'The Last Thing To Go Through A Fly's Mind' won Moving Pictures Magazine's best narrative short award, best comedy at the London Short Film Festival, best film at the Portobello Film Festival and was one of only a handful of films selected for the Hollywood Film Festival. Steve's documentary output has been prolific including numerous feature length dramatized documentaries for UK and US broadcasters. These include 'JFK: Seven Days That Made a President', 'Ten Ways to Kill Bin Laden' the Grierson nominated 'Censored at the Seaside' and 'How Bruce Lee Changed the World'. In 2011 Steve won a Peabody Award and received much critical acclaim for his dramatizations of real prison escapes with 'The Connecticut Conspiracy' and 'The Real MacGyver'.
