Showing an aptitude for performance at a young age, Deirdre Lyons began her training and onstage career in the Pacific Northwest. She has developed and reinvented a wide variety of characters in her life-long calling, moving effortlessly from new works, to the classics. She is most known for her flexibility as an actress, depicting such contrasting characters as the tough as nails prostitute, a sex siren, the nerdy roommate and the grungy street person. She has worked with some of the premier immersive companies in Los Angeles, including the critically acclaimed JFI Productions, as part of the original cast of "The Willows" which enjoyed three remounts due to its popularity and a virtual reality experience on the Oculus platform, which was followed by another VR film called "Freakin' Weekend." Other immersive projects include additional Creep LA shows: "Entry," "Lore," "Awake" and "Haus of Creep." She appeared as The Lost Princess in the final chapter of Speakeasy Societies "Kansas Collection" and with a Spy Brunch weekend event "Cold War Lounge." She also participated in multiple activation's, including a one night launch event for the movie "Ma" and at Comic-Con promoting "Sacred Lies" and "AHS 1984." She has worked as an actor in the VR game 'The Under Presents' from the production company Tender Claws. A diverse education reflects Deirdre's unique flexibility. Her theatrical training from The New York Shakespeare Theater Conservatory and The Northwest School of the Arts and Humanities combined with her coaching from producer/directors John Jacobsen, Barry Callier and Los Angeles actor Richard Brestoff author of "The Camera Smart Actor," provides her with a solid foundation from which to build her craft. In Los Angeles, she spent many years studying with amazing artists, including H. Richard Greene and Jere Burns. In addition, she trained for eighteen years in Ballet, Jazz and Tap at such prestigious schools as Cornish College of the Arts and The British Academy of Dance and private vocal instruction with Mary Jo Dugaw, Sue Carr and David Kyle. After her relocation to Los Angeles, Deirdre Lyons formed T.H. Espian Productions with her partner Stephen Butchko. Their premier production was the Los Angeles Debut of "Escher's Hands," a dramatic work by Dawson Nichols that played for a six week run at the Lillian Theater. Their production company also created a thirty second television spot to promote the theatrical event. They then proceeded to produce and perform in the award winning short film "Katrina," a web series called "The Fantasy State," a documentary and the critically acclaimed short film, "Good Behavior" which won Best Short Film of the Temecula Film Festival among many other prestigious awards. Deirdre V. Lyons, a veteran actress with participation in over 75 Film and Theatrical productions throughout the west coast, continues her work in Los Angeles, choosing provocative independent productions in which to showcase her ability while continuing to pursue more mainstream outlets for her talents.
