Jaskaran Brady

Jaskaran Brady, known as Brady, (born as Jaskaran Kanwal) was born in New Delhi, India in 1963. When Brady was barely two years old, his family emigrated to England. Despite being advised by his drama teacher to give up his studies due to his shyness as a child, he persevered, pursuing his great desire to become an actor. Throughout his childhood he always had a great desire to act. He pursued this dream, building his career and proving his capability by breaking any barriers he came across to achieve his aspiring goals. In 1982, Brady joined the "Zip Theatre Company", a professional touring group in Wolverhampton, England, where he honed his skills as a professional actor. In 1990 Brady moved to Barcelona, in the Catalan region of Spain, where he has resided to this present day. Since 1990, Brady has worked as an actor on many well-known television series and feature films in Spain. His work includes appearing on the popular Catalan television series EL Cor de la Cuitat,in a total of 87 episodes, where he played a young Pakistani man looking to work and settle in Catalunya. Furthermore, he has worked on other Spanish series such as Águila Roja, Los Serrano, EL Comisario, Mir and El Síndrome de Ulises. In 2011 Brady achieved his B.A. degree in Theatre studies (dramaturgy/critical theatre) from Rose Bruford college of Theatre and Performance in Kent, Great Britain Brady's latest appearance was on the highly popular Netflix series Money Heist which has had worldwide acclaim. In this, he played the role of a surgeon Dr. Ahmed who conducted an operation on "Nairobi" via a video conference communication. Following his appearance, Brady has received huge amounts of admiration from friends and fans of Money Heist. Brady's next objective is to obtain a fixed role in a series. He believes there will be substantially more roles available for underrepresented ethnic minorities due to the increasing amount of films and series on paying TV platforms such as NetFlix and HBO as they strive to reach a wider global audience. Brady says he is "open minded and will accept roles on films or series, whether they are Spanish, British/American, Bollywood and so on"...
